Unlike generic prompt builders that rely on vague adjectives and natural language guessing, Slate treats visual creation like a real cinematographic film set. We calculate real aperture values, lens optical groupings, lighting ratios, and physical camera movement with technical discipline.
Every frame is rooted in physics. Users calibrate true focal lengths (from 14mm ultrawide to 200mm telephoto), f-stop depth of field (f/1.2 to f/16), and lens groupings (anamorphic 2.39:1 vs spherical prime glass). The built-in validation engine prevents impossible optical configurations.
Lighting is structured with professional discipline: Key, Fill, and Rim lights are calibrated with exact contrast ratios (2:1, 4:1, 8:1) and Kelvin color temperatures. Atmospheric effects such as volumetric god rays, haze, and chiaroscuro contrast can be introduced deterministically.
